Bonjour!

What better way to launch my own page on Kitsuné’s new blog/website than covering Kitsuné-associated djs mixing in the VIP area of the Lovebox festival in London?Tronik Youth, Late Of The Pier djs, Play Paul, Punks Jump Up and Andrea & myself (JBAG) played one hour sets to a bemused crowd that despite – or thanks to – the alcohol (and the rest) eventually embraced the summery party.

A good occasion for the Kitsuné aficionados to share a few drinks together, exchange gossip and throw some collaborations in the air. Indeed the boys from Parisian project Jolie Cherie (they had a track on Kitsuné Maison 8.) were in town to attend the festival, which had a pretty solid line-up this year with Cut Copy, Empire Of The Sun, Mark Ronson, Peaches, Grace Jones and tons more in attendance.After being given a cd of their recent material, I fell in love with Jolie Cherie’s songs and we have agreed to work on something together soon. Kajsa, Patrick and Maki from Abake – Kitsuné’s London-based graphic design collective – also turned up to say hi and enjoy the sun.
