Future isn't what it used to be

At all times, man has tried to imagine what future would look like. From the 60s, the space exploration literally boosted the creative minds of the end of the last century. Automobile, fashion, decoration, communication, all areas began to dream of space and of a ultra-technological future. But it’s not until the late 90s that fiction joined reality with the advent of mobile phones and of the 1st pmp’s and – of course -, the rise of Internet.

Meanwhile, 40 years will have elapsed. Four decades in which engineers and designers constantly go further to create the machines of tomorrow. In this current period when retro is at the forefront of modernity, it is curious to rediscover all these creations meant to embody a future that has now passed.  This aesthetic has a name : it’s called retrofuture.
