Kitsuné meets Is Tropical + surf video + release parties in Paris and London
After a few videos of their trips in Italy and Japan, learn a bit more about the mysterious trio IS TROPICAL with our summer interview…
Favourite spot to go spend the summer?
We used to spend a lot of time in Hossegor, south France surfing. Recently we’ve been walking the street of London hunting down the free drinks parties that happen a lot in the summer.
Favourite band or singer to eat a fresh salad with?
Lou Reed looks like he could make a great Caesar…
Favourite spring/summer festival?
Secret Garden, real good fun. Every year they set fire to the bar in the middle of the lake on the last night. The bar would be in the form of a pirate ship or castle. Hidden stage in the woods for that tripping out on some shit vibe.
Favourite summer song?
All time favourite summer song would have to be I Feel Love – Donna Summer. But right now In The Summer – Crystal Fighters!
Favourite (and disreputable) addiction?
Laughing!
Their track “The Greeks” is available on Kitsuné Maison 11, “The Indie-Dance Issue” which you can purchase on our webstore or on iTunes.
Save the date, to celebrate the release of their album “Native To” on June 13th on Kitsuné, the band will be playing at Point Ephémère on June 8th for the Jalouse Rocks Paris Festival (you can buy your tickets here !) and at XOYO in London on June 17th.
