Kitsuné AMERICA – Emil & Friends "Royal Oats"
Both a man and a myth, NY-based Emil & Friends is a con-man and pop connoisseur. A mixologist and remixer. A rising star and star stalker. Overall, and perhaps ironically so given Emil’s fabricated identity, what shines most brightly is his own personality as he approaches each of his songs with a distinct persona.
His track “Royal Oats” will be featured on our forthcoming compilation Kitsuné AMERICA out on May 7th!
You can pre-order Kitsuné AMERICA on iTunes Europe now at a special price and get a free exclusive remix from OLIVER !

His top 10 things you absolutely have to see/drink/do/eat … while you’re in AMERICA
In New Orleans :
Stanley – Breakfast place in The French Quarter. Get the eggs stella (soft-shell crab eggs benedict)
Hotel Lamothe – Great little nook of a hotel on the quiet edge of the French quarter in which I did some writing recently
In Massachusetts :
Boat house at Jamaica Pond in Jamaica Plain, Boston, Ma. Haunted by vampires since its creation and the best make out spot in town.
ZU ZU – this is an awesome little restaurant/club slice of a building right next to the Middle East in Central Square, Cambridge MA. Check out Saturday nights called Souleluyah, an always righteous setlist of your favorite soul 45 rpm vinyl singles. Beware of the fiery haired owner, she can get a bit wild with the customers…
In New York :
Di Fara Pizza – in Midwood Brooklyn. Just tried it last night. Made by one old dude who looks more serious about his job than anyone on the planet.
Glasslands – Of all the venues in the indiesphere in Brooklyn, this is the only one I know about with a seriously beautiful tissue paper fire hazard covering most of the interior
Carmelita Deli – 4th ave and 22nd st in Brooklyn. This deli has a secret back room that is a taqueria, where the food is pretty spot on incredible.
Lake George, upstate NY – Blow off your summer job in your college town as a landscaper, hit A&W, grab a burger, go swimming.
Disney World, Orlando FL- I don’t really have to write an explanation here. Just be sure to have the Mickey Mouse shaped waffles and don’t cry when your grandmother says you can’t punch the mascots.
In New Hampshire :
The Shannon Door- If for some reason you are looking to boogie down late night in the White Mountains, this Irish pub is nuts
