Kitsuné AMERICA – Frances Rose "Vampire"
Frances Rose materialized in 2010 when two sisters from upstate New York moved into a tiny Lower East Side apartment, and filled it with electronic and antique instruments and their favourite vinyl records.
Both classically trained musicians and contemporary songwriters, Sarah plays a 1946 epiphone flat top and Michelle incorporates cello within their compositions. They have been singing and playing music together their entire lives.

La MaMa : 74 East 4th Street
The most famous experimental theatre club in New York history, where Patti Smith, Sam Shepard and many other influential New York artists got their start.
In January 2011 East 4th Street between Bowery and 2nd was re-named Ellen Stewart Way after the club’s founder in honor of her life long contribution to the New York art scene.
The Jane Hotel : 113 Jane Street
A ballroom filled with taxidermy, fireplaces, red velvet sofas and vintage disco balls that hang from high ceilings, where you may just be lucky enough to catch Thom Yorke spinning some old school M.I.A. on a Saturday night. In 1912 The Jane was used to house the the survivors of the Titanic while the inquest into the disaster took place.
Le Baron: 32 Mulberry Street
Both the Paris and Chinatown chapters are such elegant fun. The venue continues to grow in reputation for their Encore! sessions, where cutting-edge artists can experiment with new material. The bottom level is designed to replicate the legendary nightclub ‘Paris Paris’, and the top floor emulates the original Le Baron in Paris.
Reformation : 156 Ludlow Street
This boutique carries chic, modern, high-quality restored vintage clothing. Reformation remains an environmentally sustainable fashion brand that repurposes vintage and surplus materials to create a chic, limited edition collection. The store itself is like a wooden castle.
Popshop at Santo’s Party House
Catch us dancing at Neon Gold’s world famous monthly party, where all the best new bands take their first steps into the New York music scene. They have been instrumental in the development of Marina and the Diamonds, Ellie Goulding, Gotye, Passion Pit… the list is endless!
Their top 5 most beautiful places in upstate New York
The Awareness Shop : 180 Main Street, New Paltz NY
Metaphysical store/Wiccan shop located on the bottom level of life-sized a pink victorian doll house on main street.. I bought my first “talk to dead people” book there when I was 12… Along with an angel board.
Innisfree Garden : Tyrell Road, Milbrook NY
Nature preserve in the style of an oriental peace garden. There are Castle ruins.. Exotic flowers and weeping willow trees.. A visit is like walking through a Chinese painting from a thousand years ago…
Wing Castle : 717 Bangall Road Millbrook NY
This is a man-made castle run by the Wing family, made up of nearly all recycled materials. We snuck out of our house when we were teenagers to watch an Animal Collective video shoot there, with fire breathers and circus dancers. There is a lazy river/moat that runs through the entire castle. It just opened as a bed and breakfast last year.
Silver Cinema South Hills 8 : 838 South Road, Poughkeepsie NY
This two dollar movie theater survives in a retro mall in Poughkeepsie, New York. The mall itself closed in the mid 1990s, but the cinema still remains and runs independently, truly a diamond in the rough. You can catch a film for only a dollar on Tuesdays! #backtothefuture
The Trestle in Rosendale
A railroad track redesigned as a walkway for picnics/sunbathing/kissing. When it was built in 1872, the Rosendale trestle was the highest span bridge in the United States of America. The bridge was sold for $1 to a business man in 1986, who operated the Trestle as a bungee jumping platform until 2009!
