Kitsuné AMERICA – POINDEXTER "Helpless" + Free Remix

Portland-based Andrew Rodriguez aka POINDEXTER is a blue-eyed romantic. A quality dear to our French hearts. On the charmingly youthful “Helpless” he confidently zig-zags between chill-wave and Gallic pop, happiness and nostalgia, cleverlyavoiding the traps of one or another.

His track “Helpless” is featured on our new compilation Kitsuné AMERICA !

His top 10 things you absolutely have to see/drink/do/eat … while you’re in AMERICA
Walt Disney World Theme Park / Lake Buena Vista, FL : four theme parks in one – it doesn’t get much more American than this.

Portland Food Carts Street Food / Portland, OR : these carts are like the ‘United Nations’ of gastronomy. They’re about as cheap as fast food and infinitely better. Do it.

Rocky Mountain National Park Park / Estes Park, CO : what a humbling feeling it is to escape civilization completely and to be encapsulated by nature. Bjork’s song ‘Joga’ comes to mind and its “emotional landscapes”. Go.

Universal Studios Islands of Adventure Theme Park / Orlando, FL : this place is a lot like Walt Disney World but with legitimate roller coasters instead of spinning tea cups. It’s all about the back row on the ‘Incredible Hulk’.

Clyde Common Restaurant / Portland, OR : this is one of my favorite spots to grab a real drink and some well made food. Try one of their barrel aged cocktails!

Tanuki Restaurant / Portland, OR : there’s a Momofuku-like air around this amazing izakaya here in Portland. Every item on the ever changing menu is authentically crafted by a ridiciulously talented chef and they’ve got a nice selection of sake to tie it all together. Solid.

Siesta Key Beach / Siesta Key, FL : consistently, this beach is rated as the best in world for its powdery white sand and its glorious sunsets. On any given day, you will find groups of people gathered to watch the sun go down. It’s pretty sweet.

Bald Mountain Scenic Area Park / Boulder, CO : when I lived in Colorado, this quickly became my favorite spots. After a quick “hike”, you’re rewarded with a comforting silence and views of mountains in all directions.

Little Big Burger Restaurant / Portland, OR : on the surface, this burger spot is about as American as it gets when it comes to food; however, they use local and organic ingredients and even toss their fries in white truffle oil. So good.

Skidmore Bluffs Park / Portland, OR : so at one point in time this officially unofficial park was a ‘secret spot’ to watch the trains, the river and the west hills in Portland. There is something really nostalgic about riding a bicycle through the adjacent neighborhood to reach it. Bring beer!
