Gildas & Jerry Kitsuné Soleil Mix – reviewed by Jerry Bouthier
If you’re Kitsuné-sympathetic, you’ll be aware of this just released cd mix conceived and put together by myself and Kitsuné’s boss Gildas. The concept? Whipping up the perfect summer mixtape to celebrate the best time of year, the kind of soundtrack to fall in love to by the palm trees on the beach at night. For this we gathered some of the best tracks around (Jupiter ‘One O Six’, Logo ‘Jacob’, Hey Today ‘83’…) from the best acts around (Friendly Fires, Citizens!, The Rapture, M83, Housse de Racket, Metronomy…) remixed by the hottest producers around (Plastic Plates, RAC, Tensnake, Moon Boots…). Not forgetting two winning bullets from my label Continental (Adamski ‘I Like It (ATTAR! remix)’, Reflex ‘Wavering (JBAG remix)’. Now go put it on and get lazy.
