Born and raised in Buenos Aires, and living in New York since 2009, Sofia Sanchez Barrenchea has been working in the fashion industry for over eight years. Sofia is a multidisciplinary designer and art director specialized in fashion, art and design. She also founded her own online company, UnderOurSky.com, which curates and sells Argentinian Designers worldwide. 

What are the things that inspire you the most?
I think traveling is the best way of learning and getting inspired. I love exploring new countries, meeting new people and getting lost in unknown streets.

What is your idea of beauty and style?
Nature and comfort. Keeping it simple and refined, but always with a twist!

What are your plans for the summer?
I’m on holidays in Turkey right now with my boyfriend. From here we’re going to Greece for a week, and then to his lovely house in Mallorca.

Something you always carry with you when traveling?
My Carla Di Si Sunglasses, my Globe Trotter Carry-On, and my Little Prince Moleskine Notepad.

What kind of projects do you work on currently?
Currently I’m working on adding some amazing new Designers to UnderOurSky.com, and on the other hand I’m also setting up my own Creative Agency in NY and Buenos Aires, to develop fashion and beauty campaigns, digital platforms and mobile apps.
