Kitsuné Parisien III – CINEMA "U.V"
Calypso Valois and Alexandre Chatelard are CINEMA. Like a contemporary Elli & Jacno (of Stinky Toys fame), they turn la variété into theirs. She sings, he plays the synths. In true French fashion, their electronic pop songs are about love… and cigarettes.
Their track “U.V” is on Kitsuné Parisien III out February 4th, we asked them a few questions.
Read the interview below and watch a little teaser they made especially for you !
– What does Paris represent for you?
A museum city. Overwhelming by its story but as feathery as a soap bubble if we know how to enjoy it. It’s also a city which nicely marries a speedy and easy-going way of life.
– Paris in 3 essential places?
Le Panthéon, la Seine, the back of Montmartre.
–The song that describes Paris the best according to you?
“Les rues de mon Paris” de Serge Gainsbourg et Dalida.
– Your favorite track from the two last editions of the Kitsuné Parisien series?
“La Forêt” de Lescop.
– What’s next for you?
The release of CINEMA‘s debut album.
