Our waddling darling and hip hop diva D E N A just thrown a new video for her cool track “Thin Rope” and it’s highly teasing us for her upcoming show in Paris, at Kitsuné Maison En Vrai #12!
In her disco ball like sweat, she’s happily spreading her 90’s jam while jumping on a skipping rope. Childish and stylish, she truly gives us the envy to go and dance with her, in between Berlin’s bricks walls.
Totally in line with the successful “Cash, Diamond Rings, Swimming Pools” ‘s video, this super-pleasant “Thin Rope” is a great invitation to attend her live on March 27th, at La Maroquinerie, for the Kitsuné Maison En Vrai #12.
Watch now “Thin Rope” ‘s video and the whole line-up of the party, both below!
But D E N A‘s not the only hot talent included in Kitsuné Maison En Vrai #12‘s noteworthy line-up. The cheer up China Rats will also come compose their rock’n’roll EP, so we interviewed them to know a bit more about their influences and universe.

Your concert at the French Festival “Les Transmusicales” in Rennes has been noteworthy by the French press : what is your feeling regarding the concert coming up at La Maroquinerie?
We really love playing in main land Europe. Everybody is so receptive and up for a having a good time. The Les Transmusicales show was madness all the stages were in these huge aircraft hangers everyone was wired. I’ve never been to Paris so I can’t wait for the La Maroquinerie show, to party and meet some new friends.
Does Paris inspires you in some ways?
I’ve never been to Paris but it’s so relevant in popular culture that I can’t wait to have myself a taste. Never thought I’d be playing Rock n Roll in the City of Romance.
There are a lot of concerts happening in the next months noticing in Austin, Spain, Netherlands, etc. You have an EP containing 3 titles, but do you take some time to work on new single?
Were just about to release ‘Nip It in the Bud’ and we’ve got an EP in the pipeline. We’re hoping to get the album out by the end of the year as well. We get in the studio when we can so it’s in between round the world travel at the moment, pretty crazy.
Referring to “No job, No money, No future, No fear” title song, what does that mean for you exactly?
We came across this artwork by Marlon de Azambuja and instantly felt it correlated with one our tracks ‘No Money’ it’s a lively one that doesn’t really care about itself which fits with the dark subject matter of being out of work with no hope for the future but still managing to live for the present.
Can you tell us bands who influence your music?
We are influenced by loads of bands, at the moment we are heavily into the Stones, especially their ‘Exile Of Main Street’ record. That kind of dirty bluesy sound has been something that we’ve tried to incorporate into our music. Also, the stooges have been heavy on our playlist recently, as have the Doors.
