Favorite spot in Copenhagen ?

The city has so many cool spots, but I feel very much at home here in the area where I live and work – it’s the heart of the old Copenhagen, and I really like the energy of a big city combined with these historic surroundings – it actually reminds me a lot of Paris.

Le Petit Voyeur magazine – Sounds French and slightly naughty. What is it all about ?

Le Petit Voyeur is my passion project and my own creative playground. It is a limited edition visual arts magazine that I started a year ago, it features and promotes some of my favourite artists, established as well as upcoming. The magazine reflects my own versatility of work and interests – photography, design, graffiti, fine art and much more – but also my devotion and respect for the printed medium, I have been collecting books and magazines since my early teens.

The name “Le Petit Voyeur” was created partly from my appreciation of most things French and I think it sounds quite innocent, but has a slightly naughty twist – just as the content in the magazine – purely visual art combined with a bit of nudity.

Collaborating with all the other artists is very inspiring for me and I hope the result excites the viewer just as much. The idea is to show the world some of all the creativity that is out there. The magazine is produced in 1000 copies without investors or advertising. I create and fund everything myself, which of course makes it much more challenging, but it gives me complete artistic freedom and a great sense of ownership. Currently I am working on issue 3 to be released in January, 2015.

If you could meet any artist (dead or alive) who would it be ? Why ?

So many interesting to choose from, but Helmut Newton and recently passed H.R. Giger have always been some of my favourite artists with their great talent, dedication, personality, signature style, and their impressive body of work that keep inspiring so many people. I am originally educated as a furniture designer, so for living artists I think Marc Newson would be the one to meet – I truly admire his versatility, vision, and hard work.

Choose you perfect combo: listen to … ? Hang out with … ? Wear … ?

Listen to a cool Hernán Cattáneo or old school hip hop mix.

Hang out with my girlfriend, cruising in our white ’72 vintage Fiat 500 along the sea on a nice summer’s day.

Wear a pair of casual sneakers, jeans, and a shirt.
