#KitsuneSweet16 – Frances

The Kitsuné Maison Compilation is back for its 16th round as 'The Sweet Sixteen Issue' ! It's time to go back in the days...

We’re back for another round of musical surprises! This year, Kitsune Maison 16 ‘The Sweet Sixteen Issue‘ is about showcasing some of the most exciting artists of tomorrow with a little ‘teen years nostalgia’ twist!

This week we’re taking you on an enchanting trip with Frances voice and her single ‘Fire May Save you’…

Some artists are blessed, just like 21 year old Frances who stands out from the crowd thanks to an angelic yet commanding voice that doesn’t go unnoticed even in UK pop… This girl can certainly sing. In the hands of Mexico’s finest nu-disco producer Cesare, ‘Fire May Save You’ turns into a balearic singalong anthem that still resonates when long gone.

Now sit back and let those deep vibes touch you…

#KitsuneSweet16 digs into the artists nostalgic-yet-slightly-embarassing teenage years…

WHEN I WAS SIXTEEN

1/ Picture

The picture is of me sound checking for one of my first performances as a singer-songwriter at my local theatre in Newbury when I was 16! It was part of a charity variety night where you had to perform covers so I played Lady Gaga’s acoustic version of ‘Paparazzi’.

2/ Tune

A song that reminds me of that time is Use Somebody by Kings Of Leon. I was and am still a big fan and I saw them at Reading festival that year (2009) – my first festival!

3/ Memory

My best memory of being 16 is probably just having the best summer ever after my GCSEs (General Certificate of Secondary Education). I had the best time with my friends enjoying the sun, going on a couple of holidays and performing in a little musical. Those were the days!
