Maison Kitsuné Paris Tour!
Beat the summer heat by taking a Maison Kitsuné Paris Tour with us!
With the opening in June of our fourth and brand new flagship store #KitsuneBoulevard, we’re taking you today for a little tour and this time around our four Parisian addresses!
In the twelve years following its creation, Maison Kitsuné has consistently grown and increased its international influence with four boutiques in Paris and three Café Kitsuné spots:
PARIS 1st ARRONDISSEMENT
Maison Kitsuné opens its first ever boutique on the rue the Richelieu in the first arrondissement of Paris. A unique 50sqm haussmanian style space, located in an iconic neighborhood of Paris, not far way from the gardens of the Palais Royal.
Tucked away in the gardens of the Palais Royal, Maison Kitsuné opens its first Café Kitsuné in Paris. Rather than reinventing the coffee-drinking experience, Café Kitsuné celebrates the tradition of coffee in cosmopolitan life with a modern aesthetic and timeless hospitality. This intimate stand-up coffee bar has a clean design with the charm of a quaint European café. Come summer, the Café Kitsuné Palais Royal’s terrace is the most peaceful place in Paris.
PARIS 6th ARRONDISSEMENT
After settling in the 1st arrondissement, Maison Kitsuné is opening on the Rive Gauche at 38, rue Madame. The rue Madame boutique, conceived by design and architecture agency, Numéro111, has a gentle ambiance generated by the use of beige and powder pink tones on both the floor and the walls. Reminiscent of an intimate space, the concept is half living room and half boutique.
PARIS 9th ARRONDISSEMENT
Listed on the Inventory of Historical Monuments, the building in which the boutique is housed was built in 1862 by the French architect Viollet-le-Duc. Conceived by Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran, founders of DIMORESTUDIO – rewarded MAISON&OBJET Designer of the Year of Interior Scenes in 2014 – this 702sqm venue welcomes both the men’s and women’s collections as well as a Café Kitsuné reopening in September. The space is warm and functional. Shades of lapis blue and carmine red are given pride of place; the walls, floor and doorways are swathed in a satiny aluminium. The all-dominating wood, in a variety of species and dimensions, has been recuperated and re-modelled to measure.
PARIS 11th ARRONDISSEMENT
Maison Kitsuné emblematic parisian address has been inaugurated early June. This newest 200sqm location welcomes both the men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections as well as a Café Kitsuné, also accessible via the rue Amelot. For this major project, Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, co-founders and creative directors, collaborated with the French architectural agency HAau. For this project, HAau joined forces with Nicolas Dorval-Bory Architectes agency, and also called upon the expertise of Dzek and British designer Max Lamb who created an exclusive Maison Kitsuné marble for the space. Enjoying an exceptional location, this new space was designed to evoke a villa and is inspired by the Californian aesthetic of David Hockney, unveiling a succession of vast rooms seamlessly linked to one another while remaining completely unique. The transition from the boutique to the Café Kitsuné is made via a unique monumental Marmoreal Maison Kitsuné staircase. The boutique’s Café Kitsuné is intimate and tucked away from the urban bustle. It has been conceived as a living space where the simplicity of the atmosphere, bright and minimal, offers its guests an invitation to relax.
