No Word From Above by Li Hui
Maison Kitsuné is pleased to welcome the exclusive exhibition No Word From Above by the visual artist whose work is primarily based in photography, Li Hui.
“Sometimes different words may essentially have the same meaning, and the same words may point to different concepts. A certain ambiguity can give people more room to use their imagination.”
What Li Hui wants to show is the sheer diversity of nature and life, that even though society promotes uniformity, human interaction can overcome social constraints. She tries to explore or even create the unknown, and focus on visible but easily overlooked intimate details, observing and maintaining this awe of human nature and complexity.”
Discover No Word From Above at Maison Kitsuné Shanghai Xintiandi from Thursday, September 9th to Sunday, October 31st 2021.
