Ami Sioux<\/a> is the kind of person who can easily make you jealous. A true “touche-\u00e0-tout”, as talented behind her camera as with a microphone. She says she has made her way with a DIY ideology and she is definitely pretty good at it ! Her photography work is a tasty mix of snapshots showcasing nightbirds, muses and beautiful people with a little pinch of Rock’n Roll!<\/p>\n

One word to describe your life? <\/strong>
\nEmancipation.<\/p>\n

What \/ Who inspired you? <\/strong>
\nHenrietta “Hank” Turk, my grandmother. She grew up in 1940’s Kansas during the Depression and had 14 brothers….an incredibly tough lady.<\/p>\n

Your best professional encounter? Why? <\/strong>
\nMark Borthwick<\/a>. Because he’s done his work on his own terms. He taught me to keep my work human.<\/p>\n

Something you’re proud of? <\/strong>
\nThat I’m self-made \/\/ that I stayed to a DIY ideology in a lot of my work.<\/p>\n

What do you love about Paris? <\/strong>
\nThe Light. I know it sounds typical, but i love it. Its Blinding.<\/p>\n

A restaurant people should absolutely go to? <\/strong>
\nCandelaria<\/a> 52, rue de Saintonge 75003 Paris for their whisky and tacos.<\/p>\n

What’s next for you? <\/strong>
\nI’ll continue my Map Book Project with new books in NY and Tokyo and release a full-length album of my music in the Autumn. I just released an E.P. thats the first chapter in this music project and is sold in Paris at Colette, Ofr, and Yvon Lambert and in New York at Zero and Opening Ceremony<\/p>\n
