Remember LOGO<\/a>\u2019s strong video for their latest EP \u201cCardiocleptomania\u201d directed by Alice<\/a> & Virgile<\/a>? It was released March 25th and, along with the original track, are three great remixes by Para One<\/a>, LPZ and +18<\/a>!\u00a0Of course, it’s still available on our webstore<\/a> and iTunes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And how could you forget that Niels Schneider<\/a> starred in it? Well, we took the chance to ask him a few questions! Here is Niels Schneider\u2019s exclusive interview for Kitsun\u00e9:<\/p>\n

Did you already know our label and clothes line?<\/strong>
\nYes, I have been following what Kitsun\u00e9 does in music as well as clothes for a few years now. I also listen to their compilations.<\/p>\n

Was it the first time you appeared in a music video?<\/strong>
\nNo, I already acted in one in Qu\u00e9bec, it was for a friend (J\u00e9r\u00e9mie Saindon) who was directing a music video for Coeur de Pirate.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

How was the video shot for “Cardiocleptomania”?<\/strong>
\nActually, it was bit surreal to find yourself in the middle of elite athletes! But in the end Joseph and I fitted in, even though we were a bit out of place. It\u2019s weird to act in a music video, it felt like we were doing a photo shot more than a movie. Except for the last scene, where there was actual acting.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

You even injured your hand during LOGO’s shooting! How did it happen?<\/strong>
\nI had to punch a bag of clothes (aka Joseph) but it bursted open at some point, and since I didn\u2019t want to cut the shot I kept punching the wooden floor until my hand broke and tripled\u2026<\/p>\n

In LOGO’s video, you’re playing a gay guy, as in many other films. Why directors often give you this kind of character?<\/strong>
\nI\u2019m not sure gay is a role\u2026 But I only played a gay guy once, in \u201cI Killed my Mother\u201d. I feel like directors who want to deal with desire are more interested in the ambiguity there is in feelings between two men or two women. Maybe there are more unsaid, invisible things? Plus, nowadays gay roles in movies are not the same as it used to be : we\u2019re far from the poof clich\u00e9.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

According to you, what is the value of music in movies and videos?<\/strong>
\nIn music videos, of course it\u2019s essential or it wouldn\u2019t be a music <\/em>video anymore! But I like it when the music is only accompanying the visual more than the contrary. When both become indivisible.<\/p>\n

When it comes to movies, lately directors tend to go without much music because they fear that it might highlight feelings they\u2019re trying to convey too strongly. It\u2019s a shame because it\u2019s part of the pleasure you take watching a movie. We need to reinvent music in movies but absolutely not go without it!<\/p>\n

When will we be able to see you on screen again? Which are your upcoming film(s)?<\/strong>
\nI\u2019ll be in a thriller called \u201cD\u00e9sordres\u201d out April 17th, then on television in \u201cOdyesseus\u201d starting in June on Arte. Finally, I\u2019ll play in Yann Gonzalez\u2019s movie \u201cLes Rencontres d\u2019Apr\u00e8s Minuit\u201d which is still in edition.<\/p>\n

What are you currently working on?<\/strong>
\nI\u2019m currently rolling \u201cUne Rencontre\u201d with Fran\u00e7ois Cluzet and Sophie Marceau and in September I\u2019ll act in \u201cBallade avec l\u2019Amour et la Mort\u201d the next movie by Helena Klotz. Then, I\u2019ll be in the play \u201cRomeo and Juliette\u201d at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de la Porte Saint Martin.<\/p>\n
