A successful launch, as she reached #1 on HypeMachine, had fun at our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.425463904228688.1073741826.175372895904458&amp;type=3\">Kitsun\u00e9 Club Night in Melbourne<\/a>, and much more! She does seem to be in velvet.<\/p>\n<p>Full of energy and good mood, we asked the cool kid a few questions!\u00a0Read this Q&amp;A while streaming her hit track on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/majesticcasual\">MajesticCasual<\/a>, and order &#8220;Romanticise&#8221; now on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/album\/kitsune-romanticise-ep\/id684779727\" target=\"_blank\">iTunes<\/a>\u00a0or on our\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/shop.kitsune.fr\/t\/music#\/p\/chela-romanticise-ep\">webstore<\/a><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GxthXRAyOhI?rel=0\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>As an introduction, how would you describe yourself and your music with 3 adjectives?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wild, wondrous &amp; wandering.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You wrote \u201cRomanticise\u201d with your friend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dcupsounds\">DCUP<\/a> (Duncan) : how do you know each other and how was it to work with him?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Duncan &amp; I share the same management team, which is how we met and eventually worked together. We\u2019ve become great pals, he\u2019s a top-quality sentimental guy who loves to have chats about life. I\u2019m just about to housesit his beautiful house whilst he adventures in India, party back at my place yeah?<\/p>\n<p><strong>In\u00a0interviews\u00a0before, you said that you make danceable music because you just love to dance. What are your favourite tracks to dance to? And how did you come to love dancing so much?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I have been known to dance up a storm to \u2018You Make My Dreams Come True\u2019 by Hall &amp; Oates, \u2018Flathead\u2019 by The Fratellis, \u2018Dare Me\u2019 by The Pointer Sisters, \u2018Wildfire\u2019 by SBTRKT, \u2018Dashboard\u2019 by Modest Mouse, \u2018Pressure Down\u2019 by John Farnham &amp; \u2018The Way You Move\u2019 by Outkast just to name a few. I had a lot of dance training as a kid, but I believe it\u2019s not the technique that matters \u2013 it\u2019s the feel. The thing that makes me want to move the most is a monster inside of me that gets woken up by music. I\u2019ve had that feeling inside of me since forever.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How was it playing at the\u00a0Kitsun\u00e9\u00a0Club Night in Melbourne? And even more with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/HelloClubfeet\">Clubfeet<\/a> with whom you already collaborated? Did you enjoy it?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m often the mascot at their DJ shows &amp; dance alongside them onstage! I love those guys, I come on tour with them whenever I can just to sing one song (Heartbreak). The Melbourne Kitsun\u00e9\u00a0show was one of the most enjoyable shows I\u2019ve ever played. The crowd were mostly a bunch of cool kids gagging to get smashed and have fun, so they made the party atmosphere perfect. I always like finding something to climb onto for a dance, so my eyes lit up when I saw that rickety old table onstage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you feel like Melbourne and Australia in general are good places to start doing music? What gigs do you like to attend?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I do, Australia births some extremely talented motherfuckers! I\u2019d say the best music scene is in Melbourne, and there\u2019s plenty of opportunities. It\u2019s a small country though, so if you want to have a big career in music you have to make it work overseas. The Corner Hotel, Northcote Social Club, Worker\u2019s Club &amp; The Toff In Town host a lot of great shows so I keep up to date with their calendars.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How did you end up signing on\u00a0Kitsun\u00e9\u00a0for your EP \u201cRomanticise\u201d? How is it to work with us? And be honest!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Honestly, I wish I knew the Kitsun\u00e9 team better! My management do most of the talking which is to be expected. One day I hope to come to Paris and see all of your fresh-fancy-French faces. I believe Gildas emailed my manager-man Jerry with interest, to which Jerry sent some of my demos. Once Gildas heard Romanticise it was a match made in heaven. I was over the moon to hear Kitsun\u00e9\u00a0were keen because I already had big love for the label.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Okay, now if you were (and why?) :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0a natural site :\u00a0Boracay Island because I\u2019m tropical, tourist chic &amp; you can see a volcano off in the distance so there\u2019s a troubling mystery amidst all the adventure &amp; charm.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0a song :\u00a0Romanticise, because I created it &amp; I know it so well, and just like real-life you\u2019d go on forever adding parts &amp; making adjustments if you could.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; a club :\u00a0The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theluwow.com\">LuWow<\/a> in Melbourne, post PA upgrade. A few of my friends said it reminds them of my bedroom because it looks like a jungle.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; an animal :\u00a0A marmoset, the most affectionate of the monkey family. If it bites you, you\u2019ll only bleed a little.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; a colour :\u00a0Gold because it\u2019s warm &amp; reflective, and likes to party.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; a city :\u00a0Melbourne because it has all the different seasons and a million secret places that are a surprise to discover, but only after time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; a band :\u00a0Howlin\u2019 Pele &amp; Yolandi Visser fronting a band made up of Prince on guitar, the Jackson 5 on bass\/keytars\/dance moves, Kwon Soon Keun on drums and The Pointer Sisters as backing singers. Shit, did I just disrespect a whole bunch of my idols?<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; a flower :\u00a0Bird Of Paradise because it tricks you into thinking it\u2019s a bird.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; an hour of the day :\u00a0Golden hour because it seems to be magic, but it\u2019s not. Or is it?<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; a dish :\u00a0Icecream, because I\u2019m hungry right now and boy do I have a sweet tooth.
