Walter Sobcek \u2018Je Me Souviens (NightWaves remix)\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cThis fitted perfectly with \u2018South Pacific\u2019, very lucky.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>3. The B-52\u2019s \u2018Mesopotamia (White Girl Lust bootleg-JB edit)\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cSome bass-heavy bootleg of the David Byrne produced gem I picked up god knows where. Had to re-edit it and make it way more compact, turned out a bit of a deep bomb, no?\u2019<\/p>\n<p>4. JBAG \u2018X Ray Sex\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cOur debut JBAG single currently promoted on the blogs, digital release 24\/01\/11 with remixes by Jolie Cherie (Paris), Kill The Hero (Osaka) and Gabriel Gabriel (London).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>5. Fingers Inc \u2018Can You Feel It (John Daley version-JB edit)\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cThe best edit in my opinion on the forthcoming Trax 25 cd that DJ History have put together in order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the legendary Chicago imprint. Half a century-old and still brilliant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>6. Holy Ghost! \u2018Static On The Wire (RAC remix)\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cAnother of my fave acts around, this remix by RAC turns these NY hipsters into heart-melting funky pop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>7. Jamiroquai \u2018White Knuckle Ride (Penguin Prison instrumental remix-JB edit)\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cNot so mad on the actual song but I became obsessed with this instrumental remix and had to edit my own version, which I simply can\u2019t get enough of. It\u2019s that totally Phoenix mood in the verses, the Hammond organ and the muted guitar line\u2026\u00a0heaven coming out of the stereo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>8. The Hundred In The Hands \u2018Young Aren\u2019t Young (JB edit)\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cThis duo\u2019s fab debut album turned up without warning. These two effortlessly combine pop, electro, new-wave and everything else in between that tackles their fancy. Sublime.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>9. Oliver Koletzki \u2018Since You Are Gone (Daso remix)\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cAgain very lucky, this works so well with the acappella of \u2018Young Aren\u2019t Young\u2019 on top. It\u2019s like part 2 of the same song.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>10. Two Door Cinema Club \u2018What You Want (Mustang final remix)\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cHere is in its full glory Mustang\u2019s own final mix of their ace rework of TDCC\u2019s biggest hit so far. Great job from our Bruxelles cousins.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>11. Bot\u2019Ox \u2018Car Jacked\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cCosmo Vitelli and his I\u2019m A Clich\u00e9 label release lots of great tunes. This guy\u2019s so talented, it\u2019s criminal you don\u2019t hear more of him. But history will tell, no doubt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>12. Keane \u2018Clear Skies (Villa\u2019s dub)\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cNot er\u2026 Keane\u2019s biggest fan but it\u2019s got to be said the guys from Villa have done a fantastic job. Folk-disco anyone?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>13. MAY68 \u2018The Prisoner (Cecile remix-JB edit)\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cCecile has to be my favourite new producer this year. Almost everything he touches turns into gold. His early 90s balearic meets nu italo vibe is simply too gorgeous for words.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>14. Space \u2018Deliverance (The Love Supreme\u2019s hard disko remix)\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cFine London label Nang (part of the UK stable regrouping Tirk, Lipservice, Bearfunk\u2026) had the good idea to release a best of Space (French 70S disco band best known for his classic \u2018Magic Fly\u2019) as well as some properly out there reinterpretations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>15. Cock\u2019n\u2019Bull Kid \u2018One Eye Closed (Kris Menace remix-JB edit)\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cMoving on towards Germany as the pace&#8217;s getting more robotic\u2026 pitched down correctly this haunting remix really gets to you, it&#8217;s like Kate Bush gone eurorave.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>16. Black Strobe \u2018Me and Madonna (Jolie Cherie remix)\u2019<br \/>\n\u201cBack in Paris for Black Strobe\u2019s cult hit (almost 10 years!) candidly remixed by buddies Jolie Cherie, particularly love the backing vocals Etienne felt he had to add to this new version.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Merry xmas to all \u2013 not that we really care, do we?
