After releasing Kilo Kish first EP ‘Across’ yesterday<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span>, the time has come for Kitsun\u00e9 Journal to sit with our cute Fall\/Winter 2014 lady.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We talked\u00a0music, fashion and somehow her creative mind – Read all about it !<\/p>

How did music come into your life?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Pretty much by accident, I had a roommate in college, Smash Simmons, who had an at home studio set up where I would fool around. Then eventually I met up with Matt Martians\u00a0from the Internet and he\u00a0really helped me to\u00a0explore my own thing more with my first stab at music, the homeschool ep.<\/p>

\u201cAcross\u201d : A meaningful title ?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Yeah I always thought that word has so much movement and can mean so many things. It\u2019s taken from the cross\u00a0country\u00a0drive I did last summer where I was hoping to cross into some other place geographically and mentally.<\/p>

This EP is a 8-track piece. Which message are you trying to communicate with this EP?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s the truest and most straightforward music I\u2019ve ever made. I was trying to communicate the ups and downs in my thinking process while traveling a symbolic road. across america, across growing up. I was trying to communicate movement. And\u00a0how being in your twenties (or any other age) is not\u00a0necessarily about moving forward or backward, just across.<\/p>

You had tracks featured on two Kitsun\u00e9 compilations, you appear on our Fall\/Winter 2014 lookbook and you\u2019re about to release your debut EP \u201cAcross\u201d.\u00a0You\u2019re definitely part of the Maison Kitsun\u00e9 family now ! How does it feel ?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I love Kitsun\u00e9! Its actually a perfect fit. I love that you\u2019re always interested in finding and discovering new and interesting\u00a0music. I\u2019ve also shot campaigns with a lot of brands and the clothes are cool, but it never really feels like ME, but with kitsune I really love everything. I really want everything! And I can\u2019t wait to work together more, such an awesome team of creatives.<\/p>

You shot the Maison Kitsun\u00e9 lookbook in London, far from your [LA] home.\u00a0What\u2019s your favorite and least favorite things about this city ?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

My favorite and least favorite part of London is how grey and damp it seems when i\u2019ve been there. I love a good rainy day every now and then, but also need a lot of sun as not to get depressed. I think I would make some very moody music there, which could be cool!<\/p>

What\u2019s your must have for a casual winter outfit?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I love a good cable knit sweater or a\u00a0fluffy furry pastel sweater. If it\u2019s not too cold I like a nice leather motorcycle jacket and a loose pant.<\/p>
