You can buy the EP <a href=\"http:\/\/shop.kitsune.fr\/p\/polarsets-sunshine-eyes-ep\">here<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>Now is the time to focus on the work of two of the remixers, Kid Adrift and Jensen<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/kidadrift\">Kid Adrift<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/validation.maisonkitsune.bird.eu\/mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Kid-Adrift.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/validation.maisonkitsune.bird.eu\/mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Kid-Adrift.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Kid Adrift\" width=\"500\" height=\"399\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7646\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<strong> Why have you accepted to remix this track?<\/strong><br \/>\nWe put a lot of work into this remix -more so than most other remixes we&#8217;ve done- as it seems there is a core to this song that&#8217;s quite malleable and open to being translated into different soundscapes. There&#8217;s a strong harmony that just naturally lends itself to all different kinds of interpretations. Some songs are just destined to work at a certain tempo with a certain kind of production, but this one has a life of it&#8217;s own that wants to try on different outfits.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>What do you think of the original track? How do you perceive it?<\/strong><br \/>\nI listened to the vocal only initially upon starting the remix and from the lyrics I felt it was a very delicate piece of song-writing placed in amongst the drums and guitar riffs. We wanted to try and bring out this more ethereal aspect of it. I guess remixing a great song like this is like choosing a dress for an already beautiful woman, you just have to make sure it all compliments what is already there.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>How would you describe your remix?<\/strong><br \/>\nA lot of the music I write is quite dark in some respects but this kind of reminds me of walking around the Ochil hills back home in Scotland on a breezy day.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Why do you think your remix brings something more to the original track?<\/strong><br \/>\nNot necessarily something &#8220;more&#8221; just different. You show them the respect they&#8217;ve<br \/>\nearned and when they ask for a remix by golly you make&#8217;m the best darn remix you can.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>What do you think of the original track? How do you perceive it?<\/strong><br \/>\nLove it. We really enjoy how the bass and guitars keep the solid 1\/8th note triplet<br \/>\ntiming the ENTIRE way through!! That&#8217;s something a bit different for a pop song<br \/>\nwhich is why when the handwaving rave synth walls come piling in they feel right at<br \/>\nhome atop that traditional house rhythm.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>How would you describe your remix?<\/strong><br \/>\nThis remix is like a rattlesnake in a tophat. It&#8217;s fancy but with a sense of danger.<br \/>\nSomething sinister hiding within the black finery. Just everyone be calm for a bit and<br \/>\nhold your loved ones. Once that snake slithers away we&#8217;re gonna put on that tophat and<br \/>\nhave this party.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Why do you think your remix brings something more to the original track?<\/strong><br \/>\nYeah we really liked the vocal and how it reminded us of the voice from a great<br \/>\nband called MEW. Their music is always at once dark and sweet and grand.<br \/>\nWe wanted to focus on the vocal and draw out more of these qualities from<br \/>\nthe lyric and the delivery. I think we did that.
