Guards’ playlist :<\/p>\n

1.Strange Boys- “for lack of a better face”<\/strong><\/p>\n

I like the slide guitar.<\/p>\n

2.Tame Impala- “expectation”<\/strong><\/p>\n

I like the vocal line.<\/p>\n

3.Santo & Johnny- “sleepwalk”<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s my favorite song.<\/p>\n

4.Atlas Sound- “shelia”<\/strong><\/p>\n

I like the slowed down chorus.<\/p>\n

5.Magic Kids- “hey boy”

\nI am on tour with them right now ,and I like listening to them play this one every night. It reminds me of “nowhere man” mixed with the beach boys.<\/p>\n

6.Gene Pitney- “town without pity”<\/strong><\/p>\n

No one makes songs like this anymore…people don’t sing like this anymore either.<\/p>\n

7.The Remains- “don’t look back”<\/strong><\/p>\n

It took me a long time to realize this is a Christian song.<\/p>\n

8.The Third Bardo- “I’m five years ahead of my time”<\/strong><\/p>\n

I like the way he annunciates the lyrics on the verse…real swagger.<\/p>\n

9.Tony Bennett- “rags to riches”<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m into the story…real class.<\/p>\n

10.The Zombies- “whenever you’re ready”<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of my favorite zombies songs.<\/p>\n
