Tentendo

Tentendo has a diverse background in his music and production life, studying bass guitar and music performance, before a wrist injury turned his attention to production recently when he was unable to play. Shifting his energy to production he found interest and influence in a range of artists, citing Taylor Mcferrin, Flying Lotus, J Dilla and The Roots as his musical inspiration.

His production took a positive turn over the past year as he joined forces with rising Melbourne act Billy Davis (for who he plays bass and produces), whose debut album A Family Portrait saw support from the likes of BBC1, Okayplayer, and High Snobiety, while sharing the stage with the likes of GoldLink and Noname. From there, he has gone on to produce for several other artists in the growing Billy Davis camp, Blasko and Jordan Dennis, while also launching his own solo career. Tentendo's production style consists of carefully layered percussion and thick synths saturated in sweet. sticky vocals with thumping bass lines to colour the melodic madness. Lush, RnB neo-soul at its very best.
