Beginning in 2017 as the Hawaiian-infused recording project of multi-instrumentalist/producer Trent Prall, Kainalu has blossomed into a buzzing musical project on the merit of Trent’s introspective lyricism, fuzzy synthesizers and saturated bass hooks which are combined into a genre coined as “Hawaii-Fi”. After two singles (Finding Peace of Mind, Folds Like Origami) consecutively reached no.1 on the HypeMachine and landed placements on premier Spotify playlists, the stage was set for Trent to produce a career.
