From age nine, Matt Rose developed a passion for music while watching his older brother play the piano. He displayed an “ear” for music in church, where, with almost no musical instruction, he played as the primary pianist for five years. After writing for local R&B and Hip-Hop acts, he honed his songwriting and performance skills while attending Berklee College of Music from 2010-12. There, his love of poetry, enthusiasm for composition, performance skills, and his pure enjoyment of songwriting made hip-hop the most obvious and natural choice for his musical career. With producer, Texas Drew, he began to make a name for himself in the Boston music community. Since then, Rose has been featured in many publications, in which his music is well-received. He attributes much of his musical inspiration from everyday life.
