Los Angeles native Saro grew up listening to R&B legends Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Luther Vandross. The somber lyrics by bands like the Smiths, Nirvana and Radiohead gave him a feeling of solidarity, helping him through tough times. Saro spends most of his time alone in a Downtown Los Angeles loft working on music and visuals to go along with it. His debut EP titled In Loving Memory will see a December 2nd release via his own freshly-minted label, Mateo Sound.
