Born and raised in North London, they are hip-hop soul duo influenced by an open-minded approach to life which is reflected through their eclectic sound. With a dialogue of social commentary, they express their political stance, highlighting issues affecting our society and rippling around the world. Starting off as friends and blossoming into soulmates; they started to create songs that discuss both personal and combined journeys through life. For them, music is therapy. They are an outspoken couple with a lot to say and looking forward to an open discussion with the world.
In 'Venus', transcending genres and stepping out of their comfort zone, they embraced a deep house instrumental. Writing and recording in their home studio, they take the listener on a journey; from the curious start of a night out to the messy and reflective ending. They discuss some of the coping mechanisms our generation learns while entering adulthood. The metaphorical use of “I’ll meet you in Venus” portrays our escapism and dissociation, whereas “work the day after raving” explains the cold hard truth of our reality.
