DEGREE is a young producer who brings a folk music touch into the electronic style, developing very textured sonorities that evoke evasion, and conveying through his words the state of mind of his generation. Degree has always seen art like a way to express himself. He has indeed evolved in the hip hop scene for a long time, beginning with graphic arts, before entering a design school. However his influences are to be found in another artistic sphere, and revolve around musical figures like David Bowie, Leonard Cohen, or Alt-J, Jamie XX and film directors like Xavier Dolan or Yorgos Lanthimos… These influences has established him as a very contemporary artist who always remembers his roots.
