Thatshymn is a 23-year-old singer/songwriter and one of the few representing South Norwalk, CT. Coming from Jamaican parents, thatshymn grew up on predominately reggae music and also shared his ears and appreciation with gospel. He released his 1st single "iKnow" on May 1st, racking up over 500k streams across all platforms. The single had began to create a bit of traction, prompting a few early calls from Atlantic Records, Republic Records and even waking up broadcasting giant, Zane Lowe. The genuine interest in "iKnow" had created a whirlwind of curiosity on who thatshymn is. After meeting Haarlem of Vate Records (indie label home) through a mutual friend in music, the two immediately connected and ultimately got to work. Thatshymn’s mysterious identity forces listeners to tap in to the music before being drawn into a personal brand or image. Thatshymn very eagerly wants to reveal who he is, but has made a conscience decision to let it be about the music first. While there's not much known about the elusive singer, his digital presence is a good indicator thatshymn will be a name you'll be hearing a great deal about in the future.
