Delia Dane's project began as a challenge to herself. Music had always been a part of her life, but she wanted to create a solo project and produce her own music. After moving to NYC in 2018, she decided she needed to make a drastic change, so she quit her job at Spotify without a plan and dove into music headfirst.
Her music remains largely centred around queer storytelling and reflects her experiences. Her falsetto, breathy vocals are a stark juxtaposition to her perceived personality: even though she appears to have a hard exterior, she is actually really soft and sensitive.
