Para Doc, or Wesley Luttrell, is a Los Angeles-based music producer and singer/songwriter. The 24-year-old strives to create meaningful work without being pigeonholed into any specific genre but always with the intention to give hope to and inspire other people.
In the summer of 2016, Para Doc transitioned from living as a college kid in Orlando to an artist in Miami releasing his first single, “Tuesday Feels,” which quietly reached #11 on the Spotify Global Viral charts. Following up, he released, “Be True ft. Ace Cosgrove & Sumif,” which premiered on Good Music All Day and hit #12 on the Hype Machine Popular charts. Relocating from Miami to Los Angeles one year later, Para Doc has been developing his vision and his sound co-writing and producing songs for other artists and himself. He takes a direction of urgency and honesty pouring his personal experiences into his music and songwriting.
On the song: “Saying Things” is drenched in a vintage West Coast glow, with head-bopping synths and an easygoing tempo here to calm your seasonal affective disorder. However a deeper subject matter exists just beneath the surface, as indicated by some of Luttrell's pointedly honest lyrics — ""you can say these things, but are you here to stay?"" The word flow and title of ""Saying Things"" indicate a back-and-forth conversation wrought with frustration and misunderstanding. In the words of the artist himself, “to me, this record is about empty promises made with myself.” - Katey Ceccarelli, EARMILK.com
