Xul Zolar were founded in 2011 by singer Ronald Röttel and guitarist Marin Geier, after they had met in Cologne's "Club Scheisse" and found out that not only had they both just moved from their rather desolate hometowns on the German countryside the rather big city, but they shared the same taste in music.
