Yellow The Sun are a sunlit psych rock/ jangle pop band from the tropical East Coast of Australia. Intoxicating sun bleached riffs and soaring synth lines dominate songs inspired by the likes of Pond and stunning coastal vistas seen around the bands hometown of Byron Bay.
Already close friends and playing in several other bands together, Hamilton, Marcos and Anthony decided to join forces in 2019 to create a project as a creative outlet where they could be more experimental and get lost down enticing trails of synthesizers and guitar tones. The music is recorded in an old shipping container at Hamilton’s house, which of course is powered by the sun.
